Slip House USA is conveniently located in the heart of Tennessee’s Upper Cumberland. We’re situated halfway between Nashville and Knoxville in beautiful Gainesboro, Tennessee. Our facility is found approximately 25 miles north of Interstate 40 down scenic TN-56. We’d love for you to schedule a visit and take a tour of one of our slip houses.

Where can I dock my slip house?

On May 18, 2017, the Army Corps of Engineers approved floating cabins within the leased marina areas of the Cumberland River Basin. A new slip house may also replace an existing cabin on Norris Lake.

Can I relocate my slip house?

Yes. Our slip houses may be transported to different locations by road or water.

What are the benefits of owning a slip house over a houseboat?

The entire living area is above the water so you will not have dampness below deck. A slip house is built on MDPE flotation, so no metal comes in contact with the water. In addition, a slip house does not have an engine, so you will not have the expense of fuel or maintenance of the mechanicals.

Can I customize my slip house?

Yes. You can customize your slip house’s room and closet sizes, wall coverings, floor coverings, add a top deck, add floating docks and more. Contact us for a full list of customizations.

What upkeep is required?

Our floating cabins are built like a home, so minimum maintenance is required.

What is required to winterize my slip house?

Winterizing is easy with our PEX water system. A simple turn of a valve will allow drainage to flow outside.

What is the build time on a new slip house?

Our builds take approximately 3-4 months to complete.

Is there a delivery fee?

Yes. Delivery fees are based on the final destination of your cabin.
